Can somebody please give me a "at work; cant watch"? Is it easy to connect and has it much lag?
level 2
Uses an expensive converter and works but not really. Sticks aren't analog.
level 2
Basically you need an adapter for this to work.
Also, the analogs sticks will be recognized as digital sticks (if you don't know the difference, with the analog sticks you can move your character slowly while the digital sicks will work like a D-pad which makes the character go all the way to the direction you are moving your stick to)

You just need an Xbox to Wii U adapter plugged in the dock and that's it. You have to use the controllers wired, although you can undock your Switch with the adapter still in the dock and it will continue to work. The person in the video said there isn't any noticeable lag.

That adapter is 40€ here so it's pass. I would rather buy new pair of joycon for 60 when on sale.

There is the COOV N100 Nintendo Switch Controller Converter for PS3/PS4/XBOX ONE/XBOX 360 controller owners, and only costs around $13. Maybe you can google it too.

I just want to connect my Wii U Pro Controller.
level 2
If it can connect and keep sticks analog, I'll gladly take that over this.

This has to be a hoax. He claims the dock communicates wirelessly with the switch.
level 2
He's a moron. It's using the Wii u pro controller support via an Xbox to Wii u controller adapter

Don't have a Switch to test, but this guy hasn't lied before. Either way something strange is going on in that regard.

It's real, it's the same as the gamecube controller working on the switch, no real analog stick support. I think the guy just made a mistake.
Edit: Never mind... I'm not sure how that's happening.

In his defence, he does mention it's possible the adapter is wirelessly communicating with the Switch (and only drawing power from the USB port). I am not familiar with the adapter so don't know of its limitations. I would imagine it isn't possible since most of these cross-console adapters work wired only.

I mean, the analog sticks not working correctly kind of defeats the purpose of this whole setup for me.
The controllers working "wirelessly" through the dock when undocked has me very curious though. I just can't imagine this being true. I might be putting my foot in my mouth here, but I call bs.
level 2
Most likely the adapter uses Bluetooth for communication and usb for power only. That's the likely explanation other than just being fake.

Xbox controllers are analog sticks, the adapter fucks it into making them read as digital inputs. Past a certain point, the direction is considered on.

That would be a pretty awesome option for Xbox fightsticks :-) Would give me more incentive to get Ultra Street Fighter II

Or you could just buy a $70 Pro Controller that actually works right and is actually wireless instead of buying a $40 adapter that isn't wireless.

Please let this be true. Too bad about the sticks.
